About the Walk/Run

Every year since 1995, the Windsor-Essex community has gathered in September at AIDS Walk For Life Windsor, an annual grassroots community event benefiting the AIDS Committee of Windsor (ACW).

Over the years, thousands of dedicated participants have raised money to provide funding for the ACW's innovative programs and services. Our services are essential to maintaining the health of individuals living with the disease as well as providing education / prevention of spread of the epidemic. Just as important, the Walk/Run also raises awareness of the impact HIV/AIDS has on individuals, families and the community at large, reminding us all that we must work together to stop the spread of HIV.

It is in the spirit of hope and resolve that we invite you to come together as a community as we commemorate the 15th annual AIDS Walk/Run For Life on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Unfortunately, we will not be celebrating the end of the epidemic - not yet - but we will rejoice that people continue to care, continue to walk or run in solidarity and continue to give generously to cause that impacts us all.
