The AIDS Committee of Windsor is committed to developing and providing HIV prevention and support services for gay, bisexual men and other men who have sex with men. We are proud of our roots in the gay community and will continue to work very hard to promote a healthy lifestyle. We provide support services for men at risk of contracting HIV and those living with HIV.
What is "Sexual Health"? Sexual health is defined as having sexual relationships that are enjoyable, taking care of your health and the health of your sexual partner(s). To be sexually healthy, you need to take care of your body, mind and emotions. It is important for men living with or without HIV to make informed decisions about sexual health.
MSM refers to men who have sex with men, whether he identifies as gay, bisexual or straight. MSM represents a wide variety of people, lifestyles and associated risks for HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). There is no homogeneity in the MSM population other than it involves biologically adult males, as well as adolescent males. While we understand that MSM often refers to behavioral practices we continue to advocate its use because it is inclusive.
Homosexuality however, refers to more than sexual relationship and may extend to broader relationships with the same sex, lifestyle, sexuality, etc.
The GMSH program provides information and support services to help you live a more fulfilling and healthy lifestyle. Some of our services include the following:
